Eating & Photography

I didn't managed to update the blog last week as I was busy eating out & having portrait sessions in London.
Since I got the Nikon 50mm lens, I would like to take more portrait photos so I had a short portrait session with my friend in London on Sunday.

The Greens in London

No cake & recipe today as I went out for a walk in Ealing after I got a Nikon lens for my GF1 camera.
Although the weather was not great today, it's great walking around so I get to know the neighbourhood more :)

Capturing the green in London.

Quick Pear Tart & Coconut Truffles

I've a really relaxing weekend, spending time in reading, food & photography.
I also ordered some cookbooks online from The Book People, it always has good prices on top selling cookbooks.
The only problem I have with those cookbooks is that I have a growing list for baking.
Sometimes, I just can't decide what to make next.

I had made this tart 3 times this week, I didn't have them all as I took two for my colleagues & I received many praises.
I made the last one today so I can take some photos.
The tart was simple to make but so yummy.

I also made some coconut truffles as I had some chocolate left.
I thought it'd be great to make truffles for Valentine's day.
Once again, happy Valentine's day to all.

Baked Green Tea & Red Bean Cheesecake

I've mentioned before I wasn't a big fan of green tea for sweets & cakes.
I've changed since the trip to Paris last year & I've tried 'Bamboo' the green tea entremet from Sadaharu Aoki.
It has been a while since then that I made anything of green tea flavour.
Simply because I have a long baking list & as a chocoholic, most of them are chocolate.

Chinese New Year & Kumquats

The celebration of Chinese New Year is until 17th Feb but I only had 5 days for holiday.
However, I had a fruitful & relaxing break at home, spoiled with good foods.
My mum made us Chinese new year rice cakes 'nian gao', great as every year.
